Growing Strawberries is fun and easy to do. Growing your strawberries in hanging baskets is space efficient and help prevent fruit from rotting while keeping away the slugs too.
When growing your strawberries in a hanging basket make sure you position your basket so that you get 6-8 hours of sunlight.
We recommend 12 plants per basket - and to aceive this use an Angel Moss basket and liner set - which is very easy to sideplant.
Other tips when growing hanging baskets include:
* Ensure you feed your strawberries every other week with a good liquid fertilizer - using a fertilizer designed for tomatoes works well with strawberries also.
* Select Every Bearing Strawberries - you will get 2 or more crops per season
* Strawberries when growing will produce runners and baby strawberry plants we recommend removing these.
We here at Garden Squirrel are convinced that growing strawberries in hanging baskets will give you some of the sweetest strawberries you've every had - good luck and good gardening.
